Tragic Highway Collision Claims Lives of Two Young Men in Dinajpur Community Shocked

In a tragic incident that has shaken the community of Dinajpur, two young men lost their lives following a catastrophic collision between their motorcycle and a truck. The accident occurred around 8:30 AM on Friday on the busy Dinajpur-Panchagarh highway in the Kabirajhat area of Birganj Upazila. The victims, identified as 24-year-old Madhab Roy and 30-year-old Dipu Roy, were returning home to Mashalpur village in Chirirbandar Upazila after visiting Nargun Khejurbagan in Thakurgaon. Witnesses recounted the harrowing moments leading up to the crash, stating that the motorcycle was struck head-on by a truck, resulting in a devastating impact. Sergeant Sheikh Arefin Imrose of the local police reported that Madhab died instantly at the scene, while Dipu suffered critical injuries. Emergency services, including the Fire Service personnel from Birganj Upazila, responded swiftly, transporting Dipu to the Birganj Upazila Health Complex for urgent medical treatment. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical staff, Dipu succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. Locals, shocked by the incident, assisted the police in seizing the truck involved in the accident. However, the driver and his aide fled the scene, evading immediate capture. Abdul Gafur, the chief of Birganj Police Station, confirmed that authorities are actively pursuing legal action in connection with the incident and are working diligently to locate the individuals responsible.
